Download TeeMates from the App Store and tap Sign Up. You can create an account with:
After signing up, complete your profile with your name, profile photo, handicap, and home course to get the best match results.
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password? below the sign-in button. Enter your email address and we'll send a reset link within a few minutes.
If you signed up with Sign in with Apple or Google, your password is managed by Apple or Google — use their account recovery flows instead.
If the reset email doesn't arrive within 5 minutes, check your spam/junk folder. Still nothing? Email us at support@teemates.ca.
TeeMates uses your device location (with your permission) to show you tee times and golfers near you. When you open the app, we look for tee times posted within your configured distance radius.
You can adjust your search radius in Settings → Discovery Preferences. You can also browse by course directly without enabling location.
Location is only used while the app is open — we do not track your location in the background.
Tap the + Post Tee Time button on the home feed. Fill in:
Your tee time will appear in the feed for nearby golfers to request. You'll get a notification when someone requests to join.
Browse the home feed and tap any tee time card to view details. Tap Request to Join — the host will receive a notification and can approve or decline.
You'll be notified when the host responds. If approved, you'll be added to the squad and can access the group chat.
You can manage your pending requests under Bookings → Pending.
Yes. Go to Bookings, find the tee time, and tap Cancel. The host and other squad members will be notified automatically.
If you're the host and want to cancel the entire tee time, open the post and tap Delete Tee Time. All squad members will be notified.
Please cancel as early as possible — other golfers are counting on you!
A Squad is the group of golfers confirmed for a tee time. When you approve join requests and fill all spots, your group automatically becomes a Squad with a shared group chat.
Squad chats let you coordinate before and after the round — directions, warm-up plans, post-round plans, or just trash talk.
Squad chats are private and only visible to confirmed members.
TeeMates has two types of conversations:
Messages are delivered in real time. You'll get a push notification for new messages if the app is closed.
Tap the Profile tab (person icon) at the bottom of the screen, then tap Edit Profile. You can update:
Changes are saved immediately and visible to other users right away.
Tap on any golfer's profile and tap Add Friend. They'll receive a friend request notification. Once they accept, you'll both appear in each other's friends list.
You can also find friends by searching their name or username in the Friends tab. Friends get priority placement when you post tee times and can see your upcoming tee times.
Go to Settings → Notifications to control what you receive. You can toggle individual notification types:
You can also control notifications from iPhone Settings → TeeMates → Notifications if you want to disable all push notifications system-wide.
TeeMates is free to download and use. The core experience — posting tee times, joining rounds, squad chat, and friends — is completely free.

You can permanently delete your TeeMates account at any time. Here's how:

Send a deletion request to support@teemates.ca from the email address on your account. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We'll process it within 30 days.
